بالرغم من الفضائح التي لاحقتها خلال العام الماضي، أعلنت شركة فايسبوك اليوم عن نتائجها المالية للربع المالي الرابع والأخير من العام 2018 بارتفاع في عدد مستخدميها وإيراداتها، كما أعلنت الشركة عن ارتفاع في عدد المستخدمين السنوي وكذلك الموارد بفضل خدماتها الإعلانية بشكل أساسي.
وقد استطاعت الشركة العملاقة تحقيق إيرادات بواقع 16.9 مليار دولار في الربع الرابع من 2018 وبزيادة 30% عن الربع الرابع من 2017، كما استطاعت تحقيق أرباح سنوية بقيمة 55.8 مليار دولار خلال عام 2018 مقارنة مع 40.6 ملياراً خلال 2017 – أي بزيادة بلغت 37%.
كما تمكنت فايسبوك من تحقيق صافي أرباح بقيمة 6.9 مليارات خلال الربع الرابع من 2018 بزيادة 61% عن نفس الفترة من العام الذي سبقه حيث حققت الشركة وقتها 4.2 مليارات. أما بالنسبة لصافي الدخل السنوي، فقد تمكنت من تحقيق 22.1 مليار دولار خلال 2018 أكثر بنحو 39% من عام 2017 الذي حققت فيه 15.9 ملياراً.
وبحسب ما ذكره موقع « الإنديبندنت » البريطاني، قال مارك #زوكربيرغ،مؤسس موقع فايسبوك والرئيس التنفيذي للشركة: « يستمر مجتمعنا وعملنا في النمو. لقد غيّرنا بشكل أساسي كيفية إدارة شركتنا للتركيز على أكبر القضايا الاجتماعية، ونحن نستثمر أكثر لبناء طرق جديدة وملهمة للناس للاتصال ».
وعلى الرغم من المخاوف المستمرة بشأن سياسات بيانات الشركة، قالت فايسبوك إن عدد المستخدمين النشطين شهرياً ارتفع بنسبة 9 في المئة في هذا الوقت من العام الماضي ليصل إلى 2.32 مليارين.
وقالت فيسبوك إن إيراداتها من إعلانات الهواتف شكلت نحو 93% من قيمة الإعلانات الكلية والتي تشكل حجر الربح الرئيسي للشركة، وهذه النسبة تعتبر 89% أكثر من إيرادات الربع الرابع في 2017.
ويأتي الإعلان عن هذه النتائج بالتزامن مع الفضيحة الأخيرة للشركة بشأن إستخدامها لتطبيق Facebook Research ودفع الشركة للمراهقين لتحميله والوصول إلى البيانات الشخصية على أجهزتهم.
