جرت صباح اليوم السبت 10 يونيو، بالمقر المركزي لحزب الاتحاد الاشتراكي للقوات الشعبية، انتخابات رئاسة المجلس الوطني للحزب وكذا انتخاب أعضاء المكتب السياسي الجديد.
وقد أفرزت عملية التصويت عن فوز الحبيب المالكي ب 450 صوتا كرئيس للمجلس الوطني للحزب الذي يعتبر برلمان الحزب وأعلى جهاز تقريري بعد المؤتمر.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن الحبيب المالكي حصل على الأغلبية المطلقة ب 450 صوتا من أصل 480 عدد الأصوات المصوتون و33 ورقة ملغاة.
